MP Fouad Makhzoumi wrote on his account on the "X" platform: "What exclusively protects Lebanon amid the events in Syria is its army, deployed along its borders. This army, in which we have full confidence, possesses the ability to safeguard the country and its people, ensuring stability."

"Once again, the implementation of international resolutions and Lebanon's neutrality in what is happening in Syria remain the only path to protect our country from the regional storms and prevent calamities from befalling our land and people," he stated.

"We call upon all rational individuals to support Lebanon's legitimate forces in fulfilling their responsibilities, standing behind them in this mission, which enjoys the backing of the Lebanese people and the support of the Arab and international communities," he added.
