The Lebanese Army carried out an inspection and search operation Tuesday at a building located in the Saint Thérèse neighborhood of Beirut’s southern suburbs. The move came in response to a directive from the Committee overseeing the enforcement of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah.
Troops were deployed around the building, which had previously been struck in a recent Israeli airstrike, as heightened security measures were put in place to secure the area and manage traffic flow.
The Ceasefire Monitoring Committee had instructed the Lebanese Army to verify compliance by all involved parties with the terms of the truce. This included a field inspection of the site and the preparation of a detailed report on its findings.
After completing the inspection, the army reported back to the committee that no military installations or equipment were detected at the location.
