The Lebanese Army has recovered an unexploded Israeli missile remnant from the wreckage of a building in Hadath after carrying out an onsite inspection requested by the international committee overseeing the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.
Engineers from the army’s ordnance unit entered the damaged structure on Monday, removed the missile, and secured the area, the military said in a brief statement.
An identical field survey was conducted last week at a separate blast-damaged property in the Saint Therese neighborhood, also at the committee’s request. There, too, troops assessed the rubble for any unexploded ordnance or sensitive equipment.
Upon completing the two site assessments, the army formally notified the ceasefire panel that neither location contained “any military installations or equipment,” according to the statement.
