Australia has “strongly advised” its citizens against traveling to Lebanon amid the escalating tensions between Israel and Hezbollah on the country's southern border. 

“The security situation in Lebanon remains extremely volatile,” Australia's Foreign Minister Penny Wong said in a brief statement on Friday. 

“Australians in Lebanon should leave now while commercial flights remain available,” said Wong on X.
