Lebanon's government insists on bringing the tax on banks' interest rates from 7 percent up to 10 percent, Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil announced on Monday.

This hike is key to the 2019 budget's balance, adding that it represents a fundamental part of the organization of the blueprint that is still being examined by the government.
