Lebanese Fashion designer, Elie Saab, has been granted a star in Dubai's walk of fame which pays tribute to distinguished influential people from all over the world.

The Downtown Dubai walk of fame, four times the size of the walkway in Hollywood, will eventually encompass more than 10,000 stars to be unveiled in October at an event to be attended by more than 400 featured celebrities.

Emaar chairman, Mohamed Alabbar, who presented the star, hailed the renowned designer as "the pride of the Arab world, and a fascinating international success story.”
