Baathist Syria had played a major role in Lebanon, intervening in the country's civil war, occupying the country in the post-war period, and manipulating Lebanon's political landscape to benefit its political and economic interests. Gemayel, Bustani Discuss Presidential Election and Lebanon's Political Future
Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel met on Thursday with MP Farid Bustani at his headquarters in Bikfaya.
During the meeting, the two politicians exchanged views on the current political situation, with particular attention given to the challenges surrounding the presidential election and the country's path forward. The discussion underscored the urgency of finding solutions to Lebanon’s political deadlock, as well as the need for effective leadership to address the nation's pressing issues.
The meeting was also attended by Kataeb's political bureau member and lawyer Rita Boulos.
