Gemayel to Youth Graduates: Believe in the Future, Lebanon Will Rise Again

Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel told graduating students on Tuesday that Lebanon would recover from its ongoing crises, pledging that he and others would remain in the country to help rebuild it.

“We will stay in Lebanon, live here, and raise our families here. This is our country, and we will not abandon it,” Gemayel said during a graduation ceremony at Bikfaya Public High School. “Lebanon will come back better than it was.”

In his remarks, Gemayel congratulated the students and urged them to look ahead with optimism.

“We have great hope for the future,” he said. “Our parents have lived through decades of hardship, but we want to see Lebanon return to being the Switzerland of the East; a country we are proud to belong to, where we live in peace, freedom, prosperity, and love.”

He promised the graduates that the Kataeb party and the broader community would support them at every stage of life.

“We will remain by your side in every chapter of your journey,” he said.

Gemayel also praised the students’ families, who he said had made “tremendous sacrifices” to help their children reach this academic milestone amid Lebanon's economic collapse.

He extended special appreciation to the school’s educators and administration.

“Despite the challenging conditions and the erosion of salaries, the teachers and school staff continued to fulfill their mission. Had it not been for their dedication, this celebration would not have been possible," Gemayel said.
