Following the meeting, Hankach stated: “We met with House Speaker Nabih Berri, carrying a message from the Kataeb Leader MP Samy Gemayel. During the meeting, we emphasized the urgent need to proceed with a decisive session on January 9 and to elect a president capable of addressing the immense challenges facing the country."
"Such a president must have a clear program that begins with a reconciliation and truth-telling conference among Lebanese, providing an opportunity to build a nation on new, promising foundations for a better future. It is crucial to abandon the same approaches and mentalities that have led us to this point," he added.
Hankach expressed optimism that the ongoing meetings and open dialogue with all stakeholders would result in broad support, ensuring that the next president garners the strongest possible backing in the upcoming session.
