Israel Ready to Respond to Any Hezbollah Ceasefire Violation, Netanyahu Warns

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that Israel’s military actions in Lebanon are strictly guided by the ceasefire agreement, pledging to respond immediately to any Hezbollah breach or rearmament attempt.

“Our operations in Lebanon are conducted in accordance with the ceasefire agreement. We respond with fire to any breach or attempt at rearmament by Hezbollah,” Netanyahu said, underlining Israel’s vigilance along its northern border.

Turning to Gaza, Netanyahu warned that calls to end the war without neutralizing Hamas would only strengthen the group, delay the release of hostages, and risk a repeat of the October 7 attacks.

“Our continued security control over the Gaza Strip is one of the conditions for ending the war, which Hamas refuses to accept,” he added. “We are determined to disarm Hamas, and over the long term, we will remove weapons from the Strip by acting against any attempt to rearm.”

The prime minister criticized Hamas for demanding terms that contradict Israel’s conditions, including calls for an Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the Philadelphia axis, and the buffer zone.
