The Israeli military will continue its campaign of targeted assassinations against Hezbollah commanders, as the group persists in violating the existing ceasefire agreement, an Israeli security source told Al Arabiya.
The official stressed that these operations are strictly limited to military figures within the militant group, excluding political leadership from the scope of Israeli strikes.
“Targeted killings will continue in the future,” the source said, adding that Israel is closely monitoring any potential replacements for recently eliminated Hezbollah operatives. “We are keeping a close eye on every new commander emerging within the group.”
"The battle will continue as long as Hezbollah continues to violate the agreement," the source said, noting that Israeli intelligence has detected attempts by the group to rebuild its military infrastructure.
“Reconstructing Hezbollah’s military systems will take years due to the significant damage we’ve inflicted,” the source asserted. "There is no confirmed direct cooperation between Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon, but we will not hesitate to strike any Hezbollah leader who poses a threat."
