Israeli Strikes Hit Rocket Platform and Tunnel in Southern Lebanon

Israeli warplanes struck multiple locations in southern Lebanon on Thursday, targeting areas around Jarmaq, Mahmoudiyah, and Al-Ayshiyah, local media reported.

The Israeli military confirmed the strikes were carried out in southern Lebanon near the town of Jarmaq, noting that the targets included a rocket launcher and a tunnel shaft operated by Hezbollah in the Mahmoudiyah area.

“The presence of this infrastructure in the area constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the Israeli military said. “The army will continue to act to eliminate any threat to Israel.”

Witnesses also reported Israeli warplanes flying over Beirut and its southern suburbs.
