Available information suggests that the judicial investigator in the Beirut Port explosion case, Judge Tarek Bitar, concluded the second day of investigation sessions in the case.

Brigadier General Adel Francis, Brigadier General Asaad Tufaili, and Moussa Hazeema are scheduled to appear on March 7th.

It was reported that Acting Public Prosecutor Judge Jamal Al-Hajjar, for the first time, received a memorandum of formal defenses from Judge Bitar's office, which was submitted by one of the defendants. This action returns the course of the port investigation sessions to the proper legal procedures, after the previous Attorney General, Ghassan Oueidat, had refrained from receiving any documents from Bitar.
