The Kataeb's Political Bureau has appointed Dr. Nabil Emile Hokayem as the party’s third vice president, in accordance with internal bylaws.

Born in 1950 in the coastal city of Batroun, Dr. Hokayem is a veteran medical professional specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as maxillofacial and oral surgery. He also serves as a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry at Saint Joseph University in Beirut.

Hokayem's involvement with the Kataeb Party dates back to 1969, when he joined as a young activist. He went on to head the Kataeb's cell at the medical faculty, lead the Batroun district branch, and serve on the regional council. Over the decades, he has played a key role in various party departments, including those dedicated to public health, individuals with disabilities, and the families of fallen party members.

Beyond his political and academic pursuits, Dr. Hokayem is also a prominent civil society leader. He is the president and co-founder of Arc en Ciel, a Lebanese NGO that advocates for the rights and inclusion of people with disabilities. He has also held leadership positions in the Lebanese Scouting Association.

Dr. Hokayem is married and has three children and seven grandchildren.
