Lebanese Army Seizes 800 Rockets from Refugee Camp in Northern Lebanon

The Lebanese Army has confiscated approximately 800 rockets handed over from the Beddawi Palestinian refugee camp in northern Lebanon, Al Hadath TV reported on Friday.

The move comes as part of an ongoing Lebanese crackdown on militant operations following a series of rocket attacks launched from southern Lebanon into northern Israel.

Palestinian sources speaking to Al Hadath confirmed that two members of the Hamas movement were among those arrested for involvement in recent cross-border rocket fires, alongside individuals from other Palestinian factions.

The arrests and seizure follow incidents in which rockets were fired from areas north of the Litani River toward Israeli towns including Metula and Kiryat Shmona, in what constitutes violations that Lebanese officials say undermine state sovereignty and risk dragging the country into wider confrontation.

Located on the outskirts of Tripoli, the Beddawi camp was established in 1955 and is home to thousands of Palestinian refugees.
