Lebanese President Informed of Israeli Evacuation Warning During Paris Talks

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun was informed of an Israeli evacuation warning targeting Beirut’s southern suburbs while attending a high-level diplomatic meeting in Paris with the leaders of France, Syria, Cyprus, and Greece, the National News Agency reported.

The information was relayed to Aoun during the five-party talks, which focused on regional security and cooperation. Upon receiving the news, the Lebanese president immediately shared the development with the participating leaders and is closely monitoring the situation as discussions continue.

The meeting was attended in person by French President Emmanuel Macron and his visiting Lebanese counterpart Joseph Aoun, while Syrian interim President Ahmad al-Sharaa, Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis participated virtually. The talks are part of broader diplomatic efforts to address rising tensions in the region.
