Lebanon Grants Starlink License to Provide Nationwide Satellite Internet

Lebanon’s government authorized Starlink to roll out satellite internet services across the country, granting the U.S.-based company a license to operate via SpaceX’s satellite network, the National News Agency reported on Thursday.

Starlink, owned by billionaire Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has rapidly expanded its satellite broadband services worldwide, marketing itself as a lifeline in regions with weak or disrupted internet networks. Starlink delivers satellite-based internet via a network of low-Earth orbit satellites and currently serves about seven million users across 130 countries.
