Lebanon’s President Arrives in Kuwait, Calls for Renewed Ties

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun arrived in Kuwait on Sunday for a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

Aoun was received at the Amiri Airport by Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

Speaking to reporters at the airport, Aoun described the visit as an opportunity to reaffirm the strong historical and fraternal bonds that unite Lebanon and Kuwait.

“This visit is an opportunity to underscore that the Lebanese are eager to welcome their Kuwaiti brothers back to what has always been their second home,” he said.

The visit comes as Lebanon seeks to mend diplomatic and economic relations with Gulf countries following years of regional tension and domestic turmoil. While the president’s official agenda has not been made public, his meetings in Kuwait are expected to focus on economic cooperation, regional security, and support for Lebanon’s struggling economy.
