The era of the catastrophic “people, army, and resistance” trilogy has ended. The Iranian regime, through its local proxy, forcibly dragging Lebanon into the Gaza “support war” has drawn the contours of this agenda: the legitimate authorities must monopolize “violence,” thereby restoring its status as the sole reference point, and with it restoring the state capable of protecting its people and its land.

Syria Should Not Be America’s Shortcut to Hezbollah

Pompeo Hopes Germany Would Follow UK's Lead on Hezbollah
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday hoped that Germany would follow in the United Kingdom’s footsteps in banning Hezbollah.
The UK labeled Hezbollah in its entirety as a “terrorist organization” on February 2019, saying that the decision was taken on the basis that it is no longer tenable to distinguish between the military and political wings of the group.
Pompeo made the statement during a state visit to Germany as part of a four-nation European tour.
