Nearly 1000 employees of the American University of Beirut Medical Center were expelled on Friday as Lebanon’s economic situation continues to deteriorate.

According to local media, the AUBMC is in the process of dismissing employees from the nursing and administration teams.

Staffs are being called during the day to be informed of the decision.

All expelled employees will be paid compensations according to their years of service.
