The Higher Defense Council on Tuesday announced that Lebanon will be going under a total lockdown between November 14 and November 30 in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus.
“The coronavirus pandemic has become very dangerous; strict measures must be taken for the health sector to be able to properly treat all the infected people,” President Michel Aoun said ahead of the session.
“The Lebanese citizens will have to abide by the measures imposed by the government so as to contain the dangerous spread of the virus,” he added.
The decision does not include any closure of the airport, seaport or land borders.
