Maronite Patriarch Bechara Rahi on Saturday affirmed that “the judiciary is the treatment of events, not the cause of them."

"We, who believe in justice, will not accept that those who defend their dignity and the security of their environment turn into pawns and scapegoats. For they, along with others, protected Lebanon and thousands of martyrs sacrificed their lives for the sake of its unity and sovereignty. We want justice in society, for the people, instead of injustice," Rahi added.
