Caretaker Environment Minister Nasser Yassin participated in a conference on solid waste management in Istanbul, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Murat Corum.

Yassin delivered a speech in the presence of Mrs. Amna Erdogan, in which he stressed "the importance of joint action to combat plastic pollution and other pollutants."

Yassin met his Turkish counterpart, discussed cooperation frameworks, and agreed to follow up on the implementation of joint projects related to waste reduction and promotion of sorting from the source within the initiative launched by Erdogan to reach zero waste.
