Ministry Releases Preliminary Voter Lists Ahead of Upcoming Elections

The Ministry of Interior and Municipalities announced Friday that the preliminary electoral lists for 2026–2027 are now ready, giving citizens the chance to review and correct their registration ahead of the upcoming elections.

The General Directorate of Civil Status, which compiles the voter lists, said copies on compact discs have been distributed to municipalities, local chiefs, governorate and district offices, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, to facilitate review and final verification.

Both resident and non-resident voters can access the lists starting February 1, 2026, either online via the directorate’s official website (www.dgcs.gov.lb) or in person at municipal offices, district and governorate centers, as well as Lebanese embassies and consulates abroad.

Voters have until March 1, 2026, to submit requests to the relevant registration committees to correct any errors in their records, including omissions, misspellings, or other discrepancies.

The directorate also noted that copies of the preliminary lists for each electoral district are available on compact disc for a fee of 1 million Lebanese pounds, payable through an official stamp or receipt.
