Adidas on Tuesday announced that 30 percent of its new employees will be black or Latino.
The decision comes amid anti-racism demonstrations that have been plaguing the country for almost two weeks after the death of George Floyd.
"The events of the past two weeks have caused all of us to reflect on what we can do to confront the cultural and systemic forces that sustain racism," said Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted in a statement.
"We understand that the fight against racism is one that must be fought continually and actively. We must and will do better," the sportswear giant said in its statement.
