Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday reiterated that Lebanon bears full responsibility for any attacks launched from its territory, saying that more efforts are expected from the neighboring country. 

Speaking at the start of the Israeli government's weekly meeting, Netanyahu stressed that while Israel “respects” Lebanon and its armed forces but expects reciprocal actions in return.

“We demand from them things that you demand from someone you respect,” Netanyahu said. 

“Lebanon is responsible for what comes out of its territory, and it must ensure tha no attacks against Israel originate from its soil,” he added, in an apparent reference to the recent rocket fire targeting northern Israel.
