Israeli Channel 12 reported Thursday that the Israeli military is preparing for a possible intervention in Lebanon aimed at weakening Hezbollah.

The report said the move is intended to pressure the Lebanese government into signing what Israel views as a “stable agreement” with the country.

“Hezbollah will not be allowed to strengthen its forces and to return to the position it held on October 6, 2023," Israeli officials, cited by the channel, were quoted as saying.
