Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati chaired a meeting of the Ministerial Committee for Food Security.

After the meeting, caretaker Minister of Economy Amin Salam said: "We discussed vital economic matters."

"We can assure that the wheat import process is on the right track, and financing is available in coordination with the World Bank. There is no crisis related to the quantities of wheat and flour available during this period," he noted.
