Lebanon Cannot Afford to Wait to Disarm Hezbollah
This was not the first time a Lebanese official had visited the White House and received support. But it was the first time that a president with the will and capacity to ensure Lebanon’s sovereignty had visited the White House. At the same time, Tuesday’s meeting between Joseph Aoun and President Donald Trump came against the backdrop of a US president having the courage and willingness to address Iran’s evil role in the region, facing it head-on, for the first time. Shooting Attack in Tel Aviv Causes Several Casualties
Four people were killed and eight wounded in a shooting attack in the Jaffa neighborhood of Tel Aviv on Tuesday, Israeli police said in a statement.
They said two shooters were “neutralized” and that the families of the victims had been notified.
TV footage showed gunmen getting off at a light rail station and opening fire.
Israel’s MDA ambulance service said it received a report at 7.01 p.m. (1601 GMT) of people injured by gunfire.
Medics and paramedics provided on-site medical treatment to a number of wounded people with varying degrees of injuries, including some who were unconscious, MDA said.
