Trump Appoints Massad Boulos as Senior Adviser on Middle Eastern Affairs

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has named Lebanese American businessman Massad Boulos as his senior adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern affairs, marking a key appointment as he builds his team for the upcoming administration.

In his announcement, Trump described Boulos as a “highly respected leader in the business world, with extensive experience on the international scene," praising his longstanding advocacy for Republican and conservative values.

Trump also credited Boulos with forging significant ties with Arab American communities during the presidential election campaign.

“Massad is a dealmaker and an unwavering supporter of peace in the Middle East,” Trump wrote, emphasizing Boulos’s potential role in fostering regional stability.

Boulos, the father-in-law of Trump’s youngest daughter Tiffany, played a visible role in the election campaign, meeting with Arab American and Muslim leaders across the country to consolidate support. His efforts were seen as instrumental in broadening the Republican voter base within those communities.

Boulos is expected to work alongside Steve Witkoff, who was named last month as Trump’s special envoy for the Middle East. While Witkoff’s portfolio is expected to center on Israel, Boulos’s role will emphasize engagement with Arab nations, highlighting Trump’s strategy to balance relationships in the region.
